The Bean Home News also serves as a great name for this site's section for update information, or anything else of interest having to do with Freddy. Some Freddy News

October 11, 2006 - So there hasn't been much time of late to update this site! But things are happening out in the world of Freddy the Pig. First, Mr. Eha has relaunched his Freddy site. Take a look - there is a lot of information to absorb. Also, recently the Friends of Freddy had their 2006 Convention in New York. The Newsgroup has made note of some details; hopefully there will be an "official" write-up too. If anyone has any information, please pass it along so i can link it in!

Website Goes Live!

August 20, 2006 - At long last, after three months of collecting content, designing, writing, and planning - this site goes live!

I started thinking about this site about a year ago, after rediscovering the Freddy books at the local bookshop. I remembered them from my childhood trips to the library. As I recall, our local branch had only two of the books (I think it was Fying Saucer Plans and Simon the Dictator), and Simon the Dictator was perpetually checked out. That one book stuck in my memory. As I did research online, I discovered Friends of Freddy and the the recent reprints by Overlook Press. When Simon the Dictator finally fell into my hands, that was enough to get me started on this site. And so, here we are!

This site is meant to be a pure "appreciation" endeavor, and I hope interested people will visit and perhaps even take the time to submit ideas to make it better!
